Immaculata High School senior Gregory Tack may have faced some hardships in his high school career, but that didn’t stop the senior from continuing to believe in himself and his potential.

After facing bullying at his former school, Tack made the difficult yet life changing decision to transfer to Immaculata after sophomore year where he finally found a place where he belonged. The now-senior prospered on the bowling team, crediting them to everything he has been able to achieve.

Tack finished this season with an impressive 242 average, clocking in a 777 high series and a 279 game.

The senior also captured a second place finish at the South Jersey Singles Classic behind Egg Harbor Township’s Matthew Stephens. The second place win gave Tack a taste of what it would be like to bowl against the best in the state, and the senior was up for the task.

Tack set his eyes on the top prize at the Individual State Tournament this season to be considered the best in the state, and it came down to the very last game of the tournament before he was awarded second place out of the 48 bowlers who competed.

Despite not getting the top title like the senior had hoped, Tack looked back on the tournament and realized what an accomplishment it was to get to that stage and finish in second place.

Getting the honor of “Bowling Athlete of the Year” after all the hard work Tack has put in was a perfect ending for the senior’s high school bowling career.

The senior will be attending Florida State University in the fall, where he will continue his bowling career with his future Seminole teammates and also plans to major in Statistics.
